Jason has over twenty-seven years of professional experience, primarily as a portfolio manager working with both institutional and individual investors. Prior to joining Vaquero in 2022, Jason spent 5 years with Northern Trust as Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager.  Prior to joining Northern Trust, Jason was the Chief Investment Officer for an RIA in Dallas, TX.  He brings a diverse finance and investment background to his role as a Wealth Manager having served in various leadership positions while working in private equity, real estate advisory and private wealth management.

Jason holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation from the CFA Institute as well as the Certified Financial Planner designation through the CFP Board. Jason previously held FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.

Jason earned a BBA in Finance and International Business from The Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.

He lives in Plano with his wife and five children. In his free time, Jason enjoys traveling, golf and spending time with family.
